The 71-year-old legend and his wife, Maria Torres, have danced with the aforementioned salsa king for 21 years and have been leading purveyors and teachers of the lively Latin dance for decades.
Alongside his son, Eddie Torres Jr., the Latin choreographer for the 2021 film In the Heights, the father-son Torres duo discusses the history and evolution of salsa and mambo, their fascinating careers, and the importance of preserving Latin art for future generations.
