GRAMMY-winning Los Angeles-based band La Santa Cecilia's sound is hard to define, but that's part of what makes it so fun and rich, especially when paired with their unmistakable soul and infectious energy.
For the latest episode of the Recording Academy's ReImagined cover performance series, the Mexican-American group serves up a version of fellow GRAMMY winners Radiohead's "House Of Cards" that is truly all their own. The 2007 GRAMMY-nominated alt-rock classic is reborn as a Banda ballad, powered by an accordion, acoustic guitar and lead singer Marisol "La Marisoul" Hernandez's powerful voice.
Back at the 51st GRAMMY Awards, Radiohead earned two nominations for "House Of Cards" and two more for its equally haunting album, In Rainbows. The LP won Best Alternative Music Album that year.
