The 35-date U.S. tour, originally set to kick off in July and run through September, has been scrapped concerning the health and safety of fans and crew members

Four-time GRAMMY-winning rock duo The Black Keys have officially announced the cancelation of their upcoming "Let’s Rock" tour, titled after the band’s 2019 album of the same name and their first full-length offering since 2014. Consisting of artists Dan Auerbach on guitar and vocals and Patrick Carney on drums, the Keys’ ultimately cited new health and safety concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic as grounds for canceling the dates altogether.

Originally set to kick off on Aug. 7 in Seattle and run through September with stops in Denver, Austin, Chicago, Salt Lake City and more, the nationwide summer tour would have featured The Black Keys performing alongside supporting acts in Gary Clark Jr., Yola, Jessy Wilson, Allah Las and The Marcus King Band.

Addressing the decision to nix the shows in a tweet, the "Lonely Boy" performers wrote, "We are very disappointed to let you know the US ‘Let's Rock’ Summer tour is no longer happening. We were looking forward to seeing you all out there, but the health and safety of our fans and crew has to take priority." They continued, adding, "We hope to see you all soon. Please stay safe!"

Last month, the band also announced the cancelation of their Canadian tour dates which were set to take place this May.

Regarding ticket relief options, refunds for the highly anticipated tour are being issued in full at the point of purchase. The band stated that ticket holders would be emailed directly with all refunding options. For more information on ticket refunds, visit LiveNation’s COVID-19 ticket refund plan here.
