GRAMMY-nominated indie/folk iconoclast Father John Misty has announced an extended world tour in support of his new album Gods Favorite Customer, due out June 1.

The title and release date for God's Favorite Customer was previously leaked in an apparent accidental move by Amazon France, igniting speculation over the new project in advance of an official word from Tillman or his label. Tillman has since confirmed the official title and release date, releasing two additional singles, "Just Dumb Enough To Try" and "Disappointing Diamonds Are The Rarest Of Them All," as follow-ups to lead single "Mr. Tillman."

Father John Misty – real name Joshua Tillman – will be bringing a large and exciting stable of support acts along for the ride on his North American tour dates, including TV On The Radio, Jenny Lewis, Gillian Welch, Blitzen Trapper, Bully, King Tuff, and Lucy Dacus.

Tillman's world tour in support of God's Favorite Customer will kick off on May 11 in Bloomington, Ind., with a solo show at a Kurt Vonnegut-themed mini-festival before skipping across the pond to Belfast, Ireland, on May 25 to kick of the nearly 40-show run in earnest. The tour will run through Nov. 18, where it will wrap up in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Limited pre-sale tickets for most show dates will become available on Tues., May 8, and will go on-sale for the general public on Fri., May 11. Full tour details and ticketing info can be found on Tillman's official website.

The title and release date for the 'Pure Comedy' GRAMMY nominee have reportedly been leaked

This past summer, just a few short months after dropping his GRAMMY-nominated album Pure Comedy, indie-folk iconoclast Father John Misty was already telling folks that his next project was almost finished.

But the Father — real name Josh Tillman — has remained largely silent in the months since telling NME that his next record was "pretty much done," apart from dropping the new album's lead single "Mr. Tillman" near the end of February.

The drought of information, however, seems to have ended in rather unorthodox fashion, as some clever (or obsessive, take your pick) Redditors on the "IndieHeads" subreddit noted this past weekend that Amazon France has a new entry in the singer's name, set for sale on June 1.

The new album, ostensibly titled God's Favorite Customer, currently has no cover artwork displayed and contains an apparent typo in the listed title, so it's possible this is a slip-up on Amazon's part, rather than some sort of roundabout viral marketing plan.

"Most of this next album was written in a six-week period where I was kind of on the straits," Tillman told Uncut in November. "I was living in a hotel for two months. It’s kind of about… yeah… misadventure. The words were just pouring out of me. …I think the music essentially serves the purpose of making the painful and the isolating less painful and less isolating. But in short, it’s a heartache album."  He also reveled several potential song titles, including "Mr. Tillman, Please Exit The Lobby," and "Well We're Only People And There's Nothing Much We Can Do About It."

Further details, including a confirmation of the album title and exact release date, remain forthcoming.

Less than a month before embarking on their new North American tour, GRAMMY-nominated English rock band Arctic Monkeys have announced the release of their first album in nearly five years, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, set for May 11.

The album will be their sixth studio LP and first new release since going on temporary hiatus following an extended tour in support of 2013's AM. "Do I Wanna Know?," one of AM's biggest hit singles, earned the band their third career GRAMMY nomination at the 57th GRAMMY Awards.

The three bands will join forces for a "tri-headlining" tour later this summer

Is there a hole in your heart? An empty place that you used to keep filled with daily doses of grunge-flavored, hard-hitting, wall-of-sound alternative rock? Well despair no longer, because three of the biggest bands of the mid-1990s' golden era of alt-rock are hitting the road together for a "tri-headlining" tour of North America this summer.

Stone Temple Pilots – reformed with their new lead singer Jeff Gutt following the tragic passing of both their co-founding lead singer Scott Weiland and more recent frontman Chester Bennington of Linkin Park – will be joined by British hard rock/grunge hitmakers Bush and The Cult for a 20-show sprint around the country.

The 2018 Revolution 3 Tour will see all three bands play full sets for each show date in a "revolving headline" format, where each group will take the headliner spot on alternating nights.

We are excited to be heading out on #TheRevolution3Tour with @STPBand + @officialcult this summer! Presales start tomorrow at 1pm local time.

"We look forward to celebrating glorious summer nights of responsible (and irresponsible) hedonism with all of you," said the Cult's Ian Astbury in the bands' joint statement announcing the tour. Bush's Gavin Rossdale also commented, "We are looking forward to see everybody in the summer. This is a great tour for rock fans," while Stone Temple Pilots' Robert DeLeo added, "We are thrilled to join our friends this summer to celebrate our music with all of you."

The Revolution 3 Tour will kick off in Nashville, Tenn. on July 18, and run for six weeks before wrapping up on Sept. 2 in Phoenix, Ariz. All three bands will appear together on April 3 for a tour launch party in L.A., and limited presale tickets for select shows will go on-sale at 10 a.m. local time on the same day.  Tickets to the general public will go on-sale on April 6 at 10 a.m. local. Full show dates and ticket details can be found on the bands' websites.
