Ed Sheeran Wins Best Pop Vocal Album | 2018 GRAMMYs
British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has taken home Best Pop Vocal Album for ÷ (Divide) at the 60th GRAMMY Awards. This is his first win in the category.
Released in 2017, Sheeran's third studio album comprised 12 tracks that led to quite the accomplishment — according to Nielsen Music, it was the biggest selling album of 2017. This is largely thanks to standout tracks such as "Shape Of You" and "Perfect."
"This is an album which, including bonus tracks, features rapping and singing; club music and orchestras; a tin whistle and a bodhran, hallmarks of Irish folk; and a song partly in the Ghanaian dialect Twi," writes The New York Times.
The other nominees in the category were Coldplay's Kaleidoscope EP, Lana Del Rey's Lust For Life, Imagine Dragons' Evolve, Kesha's Rainbow, and Lady Gaga's Joanne.
