Today the GRAMMY-winning rock group the Eagles announced they will be performing their classic album Hotel California during two nights in Las Vegas on Sept. 27–28. The special shows will be the first time the band has played the album in full live and will be their only dates in North America for 2019.

The announcement on the group's site says some of the songs have not been performed live since their original Hotel California tour in the '70s. They will also be pulling tracks from their extensive catalog of jams for "an additional set of the band's greatest hits" during the two shows at the MGM Grand's Garden Arena.

Eagles members Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit will perform with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, the son of late founding member Glenn Frey. The latter two joined the touring lineup in 2017, following Glenn's passing in 2016, and will also be joining the band for their 2019 European tour dates.

The Los Angeles rock group released their fifth studio album, Hotel California, in December 1976. The album's singles "Hotel California" and "New Kid In Town" earned the group two No. 1 hits and two GRAMMY wins; at the 20th GRAMMY Awards the former won Record Of The Year and the latter won Best Arrangement For Voices. The album, which was nominated for Album Of The Year, remains third best-selling album in the U.S. ever.

Tickets for the two Vegas shows go on sale Fri. April 12 at 10 a.m. PST, with a pre-sale beginning Mon. April 8; find more ticket info here.

The Eagles are ready to get back on the road. The GRAMMY winners will launch a North American tour on March 14, 2018, at the United Center in Chicago.

The 14-date tour will hit select arenas and stadiums through the spring and summer before winding up July 28 in Philadelphia.

The Eagles' lineup will feature Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit along with newcomers Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, who is filling in for his late father, Glenn Frey. This quintet debuted at the bi-coastal Classic East and West festival this past summer, marking the band's first performances since honoring Glenn Frey at the 58th GRAMMY Awards.

Who Are The Top GRAMMY Winners Of All Time?

"We've got some new blood. We all know the songs pretty good, but we just have to run the drill," Walsh told Rolling Stone in July. "It's like being an athlete and doing the reps to get into shape. The new guys [Deacon Frey and Vince Gill] have to get to the point where it's automatic or it's transparent."

Tour openers will include Jimmy Buffett And The Coral Reefer Band, James Taylor And His All-Star Band and Chris Stapleton, with each performing only at select dates.

Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2.

The news was posted to their website and to their no-longer-dormant Instagram account, the latter which included the message: "Like Phantoms Forever...," a nod to their first EP, 2002's Like Phantoms Forever. Their last new music was released back in 2010, with their fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.

Back in 2013, countless black-lined lids teared up when My Chemical Romance announced their breakup after 12 years of theatric punk-pop greatness. At the time, lead vocalist Gerard Way shared a lengthy, poetic letter about the decision:

"Since I am bad with goodbyes. I refuse to let this be one. But I will leave you with one last thing—My Chemical Romance is done. But it can never die. It is alive in me, in the guys, and it is alive inside all of you. I always knew that, and I think you did too. Because it is not a band—it is an idea," the note concluded.

Rumors of a MCR reunion first began bubbling this summer, when Joe Jonas, alongside the recently reunited Jonas Brothers, poured gasoline on the rumor mill during a June interview. "I've got some dirt. My Chemical Romance apparently were rehearsing next to us in New York recently… I thought they broke up, so I don't know."

Well, don't forget: My Chemical Romance is inside of you all of us. It can never die.

Tickets to the reunion show go on sale tomorrow, Fri., Nov. 1 at 12:00 p.m. PST.

GRAMMY-winning music legend Elton John is being celebrated by his native Britain for his incomparable contributions to music, philanthropy and culture with the exclusive title of the Order of the Companions of Honor.

"I'm humbled and honoured to be among such highly esteemed company in receiving the Companion of Honour. 2019 has turned out to be a truly wonderful year for me and I feel extraordinarily blessed," the enduring "Rocket Man" wrote on Twitter.

The news comes with the recently released 2020 Honours List, in which Queen Elizabeth celebrates 1,097 new rankings of dames and knights each year. GRAMMMY winners Olivia Newton-John and Billy Ocean, along with Roger Taylor of Queen, and Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol are also among the other musical artists on the list of high-level contributors to British society with several different ranks.

Australian-British singer/actress Newton-John "was made a dame for services to charity, cancer research and entertainment," as noted by The Guardian. Per Billboard, she is fighting breast cancer for the third time and has worked for years to support cancer research and funding with various philanthropic efforts, including the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne.

"I am extremely excited, honoured and grateful beyond words to be included with such an esteemed group of women who have received this distinguished award before me," the "Grease" star said via Billboard. "As a girl born in Cambridge, I am very proud of my British ancestry and so appreciative to be recognised in this way by the United Kingdom."

Other powerful names in entertainment, like Oscar-winning British film directors Steve McQueen ("12 Years A Slave," "Widows") and Sam Mendes ("American Beauty," "Skyfall"). But as the Guardian points out, the majority of the list (72% this year) are made up of names we are less familiar with, yet nevertheless have dedicated themselves to public service. Simon Stevens, the Chief Executive of England's NHS, is one of these people, who has spent 31 years fighting for better public health funding.

According to BBC News, the honours list is published twice per year—during the New Year and on the Queen's birthday—and are informally approved by the Queen after nominees are approved by committees of "independent experts" divided by subject matter. "The system is overseen by the Cabinet Office Honours and Appointments Secretariat, and British nationals or citizens of the 15 Commonwealth realms can be nominated," BBC explains. Foreigners can receive honorary honours.

John was first knighted back in 1998—when he received his "Sir" title—and now joins a group of just 65 as a Companion of Honour. Fellow knighted GRAMMY winner Paul McCartney is also among this group, whose limit of 65 members at any given time includes the royal monarch himself.

He also received France's highest civilian honor, the Légion d'Honneur, earlier this year. The Elton John AIDS Foundation, which has organizations in both the U.K. and U.S., has raised over $400 million towards money to support HIV/AIDS research and prevention since 1992.

One of 2019's biggest music biopics, "Rocketman," highlighted the personal struggles of low self-esteem, toxic relationships and drug addiction John faced while bringing joy to many with his charismatic stage persona and groundbreaking blend of folk, pop and glam rock.

Kicking off in 2018, his massive farewell tour, appropriately titled Farewell Yellow Brick Road, has seen him bringing his joyful catalog of music to his countless fans around the world, with dates extending into 2020.

On New Year's Eve, two longtime metal heroes—Yoshiki of X JAPAN and pivotal New York hair metal group KISS—will be making their TV collab performance debut. The flamboyant and fierce rock acts will perform together as YOSHIKISS on the annual NYE show (and the most-watched television program in Japan) "Red and White Music Battle" ("Kouhaku Uta Gassen") on the NHK network.

"I want us to create a performance that will have a big impact," YOSHIKI said in a recent press release. "I think we're really going to shock people."

Earlier this month, Yoshiki surprised fellow KISS fans (he is a proud superfan) by joining in during the encores at both the Tokyo and Osaka stops on their 2019 End of the Road World Tour. He played the piano during "Beth" and the drums during the band's 1975 classic "Rock and Roll All Nite," the latter which you can watch below.

"We are so honored to have him play with us," Paul Stanley told the Tokyo audience as Yoshiki shared the stage on Dec. 11. The moment was a powerful one for both acts, especially for the Japanese artist who found solace in the music of KISS during an the especially difficult time in his childhood when his father died.

"'KISS saved my life,' explained Yoshiki, who studied classical piano throughout his youth and began drumming as a way of releasing his emotional pain," the press release stated.

"It's an honor to perform on NHK in my favorite country in the world," Gene Simmons said via the same release. "Yoshiki is a Japanese legend, but he never forgets to have a humble heart. I've been influenced by his humble approach to his work."

Stanley added, "Not only is Yoshiki a wonderful pianist and drummer, but he continues to express the importance of living and has had a great impact on us."

The performance tomorrow will be the X JAPAN leader's fifth consecutive appearance on Kouhaku, marking the hit program's 70th year. The press release states the program will be broadcast worldwide tomorrow; check your local listings for more info.
