Country Lyrics Keeping Life Timeless On Amazon Alexa
"We're all the same inside," is Martina McBride's conclusion on her GRAMMY-nominated 2003 hit "This One's For The Girls," and Amazon Music's "Top 25 Lyric Requests: Country" might give you the same feeling.
On the list, classics line up side-by-side with some of this year's latest as the timeless universality of country music's narrative outlook loads these lyrics with life. The top of the list belongs to Luke Combs' "Hurricane," which has been growing like its namesake. Garth Brooks' GRAMMY-nominated "Friends In Low Places" comes in second, followed by David Allan Coe and two Jason Aldean classics — "Lights Come On" and "Dirt Road Anthem."
Other familiar names include Johnny Cash, who hits the list twice with "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Ring Of Fire" for those times when life can feel like it's closing in on you. Taylor Swift's "Picture To Burn" also ranks, as well as Sam Hunt's "Body Like A Back Road" and Little Big Town's "Girl Crush."
With such a diverse group of classic country hits, it arguably leaves some convinced that nothing expresses life better than the lyrics of a great country song.
