There’s something awfully pure about Maggie Rose’s "For Your Consideration." It’s a few chords and some sharply-honed words. The singer/songwriter sings it with timeless flair.

Now, Rose has shown how all she needs is herself and some pealing hollow-body guitar to nail the tune to the wall.

In the latest episode of Press Play At Home, watch Rose perform a strutting version of the rhythm-and-blues ballad, which she wrote with Joe Ginsburg and Megan Redmond and recorded at the venerated FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. (This performance was filmed and produced by Real Music TV at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville.)

Watch the bold-as-brass performance of "For Your Consideration" above and click here to view more episodes of Press Play At Home.

Greyson Chance has weathered a few monsoons in life, from an eating disorder to pandemic doldrums—and that's partly why he goes easier on the backstage indulgences these days.

As the pop singer/songwriter explains in the below video, he's cut down on the backstage candy and champagne—except when there's something to really celebrate after a show.

By now, it's practically beyond argument: Traditional singing and songwriting is making a big comeback. And English singer/songwriter Jade Bird is proof positive of this sea change in the music landscape.

As wonderful as trap beats and layers of experimental production can be, the metric for the integrity of a song still comes down to whether it's as powerful on a lone acoustic guitar. Bird clearly understands this.

In the latest episode of Press Play At Home, Bird performs her tune, "Different Kinds Of Light," with no bells or whistles besides the plainspoken power of her voice and words.

Some performers become visibly gun-shy when a camera's on them; Techy Fatule is the opposite. She's a born singer and performer, firmly in control of her stage presence.

It doesn't hurt to have excellent production, either: "Tu Me Quieres Más" (or, "You Love Me More") embellishes Fatule's words with a glitchy, droning soundscape that adds mystery and sophistication.

In the latest episode of Press Play At Home, watch the Dominican pop star and actor deliver a compelling performance of "Tu Me Quieres Más," owning the spotlight with her band in tow.

Positive Vibes Only: Zach Williams Performs His Reflective Gospel Song "Less Like Me"

In the latest episode of Positive Vibes Only, singer/songwriter Zach Williams measures his fallibility in relation to Christ in the ambling jam "Less Like Me"

It's one thing to write a boast track: it's another thing entirely to do the opposite.

In Zach Williams' upbeat, poignant gospel song "Less Like Me," he considers all the moments in which he could have acted Christlike. "Somebody with a hurt that I could have helped/ Somebody with a hand that I could have helped," he sings.

Positive Vibes Only: Zach Williams

And in the chorus, Williams lists attributes he'd like to have, as opposed to the ones he's got: mercy, grace, kindness, goodness, love, faith, patience, peace. "A little more like Jesus," goes the kicker line summing it all up, "a little less like me."

In the latest episode of Positive Vibes Only, watch Zach Williams and his band perform the probing, life-affirming "Less Like Me." Check out the performance above and watch more episodes of Positive Vibes Only here.
