Backstage At The 63rd GRAMMYs: Miranda Lambert Talks The GRAMMY Awards’ Prestige During A Trying Year
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everything, and the GRAMMY Awards are no exception. Not only did the ceremony need to move from last January to March 14, 2021, but it’s happening in an unprecedented, partly virtual fashion.
The magnitude of the crisis flecks Miranda Lambert’s words as she chats about the 2021 GRAMMY Awards show in the latest episode of Backstage At The 63rd GRAMMYs.
“This year, I’m just glad they’re having the GRAMMYs,” says the country star, who is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song (“Bluebird”) and Best Country Album (2019’s Wildcard) at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards show.
“It’s prestigious. The GRAMMYs is something that every artist works really hard to be a part of,” Lambert continues. “So, I’m glad to be back here.”
Watch Miranda Lambert’s final expressions before the ceremony above, and be sure to tune into the 63rd GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, March 14 to watch Lambert perform—and find out if she’ll win!
